//This day wasn’t especially cold! So don’t freak out about my crop top! Hahaha. The truth is there’s nothing more basic in a closet than a camel coat. I always try to save some money when I can, but I understand that sometimes cheap ends up being more expensive, that’s why you need to be a smart shopper. It’s nothing new: there are some essential basics and classic clothes that you will always need, so you better make them worth it by purchasing some high quality clothes, instead of clothes that just look amazing for a season or two – or a few spins in the laundry – and after that you can’t recognize them anymore hahaha. Same thing for goes makeup, basic shirts (like a white shirt!) and heels. Obviously I used to get these garments in classic colors, so you can take advantage of them for a long time.
Let’s focus on this look! I love crop tops, but usually I don’t feel comfortable showing my belly, so I used to wear them with high pants, which seem to me so much more classy. But sometimes, it’s ok to make an exception and go for it! My belly isn’t perfect, so I cheated by using medium-high leather leggings (leather + camel = a must!) that cover my belly a little bit, besides, it’s winter and it’s cold!
The crop top was a little too short, so I wore a cotton shirt underneath made of a pretty similar type of white, so you can’t notice the difference. Thanks to this shirt I was warmer. I also wore a cross-body purse (my Louie Vuitton has been one of the best gifts I’ve ever received!) and my golden rings on just the one hand.
I got these animal print shoes in a Chilean store a few years ago, and at that time, the animal print trend hadn’t arrived to my country, so everyone looked me like I was crazy when I bought them! Actually a girl next to me told me ¨They are so beautiful! But I can’t imagine how to wear them…¨ hahaha. Right now animal print is a classic, and sometimes we even wear on our nails! That’s why it’s not a coincidence that the most stylish women have worn it, like Kate Moss, Edie Sedgwick and Jackie O… for the same reason that the Christian Dior coats got so popular in the fifties. But that is something I’m gonna talk about in another post.
